United Arab Emirates is imposing a temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their untreated by-product, day-old chicks, hatching eggs from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and imposition of a temporary ban on poultry meat and table eggs from Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

United Arab Emirates is applying a precautionary sanitary measure to prevent the risk of introducing HPAI virus through the imports of live birds and their products from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These measures include:
1. Temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their untreated by-products, day-old chicks and hatching eggs originating from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;
2. Temporary ban on poultry meat and table eggs and their untreated products from Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, except heat-treated products;
3. Consignments of poultry meat shipped from Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before 1 December 2017 were permitted.
