The notified technical regulations have been introduced to help regulate trade in living modified organisms for agricultural use among the State Parties and to ensure the safe use of these organisms.
The regulations cover transportation, cross-border movement, research, experimentation, handling, development, production, and marketing in relation to these organisms.
