Department of Agriculture Memorandum Order No. 1, Series of 2019 "Temporary Ban on the Importation of Domestic and Wild Pigs and their Products Including Pork Meat, Pig Skin and Semen Originating from Japan"

The Order temporarily bans the importation of domestic and wild pigs and their products, pending the results of the assessment of information on the CSF strain, surveillance and control procedures to be provided by Japan. It also suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance on the aforementioned commodities. All shipments of the said commodities into the Philippines will be stopped and confiscated by DA Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports.
