Letter of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the introduction of temporary restrictions on the importation and transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of live fish and fish products from China

The Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports outbreaks of 2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease registered in China. In this regard, and taking into account the unstable situation and the risks of importing and spreading virus pathogens into the territory of Kazakhstan, in accordance with Article 3 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 339 "On Veterinary" of 10 July 2002, in order to protect public health from diseases, as well as ensuring veterinary and sanitary safety, since 29 January 2020 temporary restrictions have been introduced on the importation and transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of live fish and fish products from China.
