Establishes ingredients and additives authorized for use in animal feed through Normative Instruction (Instrução Normativa) No. 40, 15 of June  2020

Establish the ingredients and additives authorized for use in animal feed, including those used in human food and likely to be used in animal feed and the necessary requirements for the inclusion and amendment of raw materials approved as ingredients and additives.
The list of authorized ingredients and additives referred to in the caput will be published and updated by an act of the Secretary of Agricultural Defense from brazilian Ministry of Agriculture.
Ingredients and additives that do not appear on the published list or other authoritative regulation, cannot be marketed for use in animal feed in Brazil.
