The Order, signed on 11 January 2021, institutes the following emergency measures for the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products from the Republic of Korea: 1) Ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products, including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs and semen; 2) Immediate suspension of the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance for the above-stated commodities; 3) Stoppage and confiscation of all shipments of the above-stated commodities (with exception of heat-treated products) into the country by all Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports of entry; 4) Importation of meat products of poultry is subject to the conditions provided in Articles 10.4.19, 10.4.20, and 10.4.26 of OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code (2019).

The Order, signed on 11 January 2021, institutes the following emergency measures for the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products from Corsica, Île-de-France, Aquitaine, Pays de la Loire and Midi-Pyrénées, France: 1) Ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products, including poultry meta, day-old chicks, eggs and semen; 2) Immediate suspension of the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) import clearance for the above-stated commodities; 3) All incoming poultry meat shipments with SPS import clearance issued on or before 21 December 2020 will be allowed provided frozen poultry meat has a slaughter/process date of 21 days prior to the start of the first HPAI outbreak  (on or before 17 October 2020).  All shipments will  be subject to veterinary quarantine rules and regulations; 4)  All shipments in transit after the official communication of this Order shall be allowed regardless of the production date, provided the products were not sourced from the following areas: (1) Corsica Region - Haute-Corse, Corse-Du-Sud; (2) Île-de-France Region - Yvelines; (3) Aquitaine Region - Landes, Deux-Sèvres; (4) Pays de la Loire Region - Vendée; (5) Midi-Pyrénées - Hautes-Pyrénées; 5) All other shipments accepted at the port of origin after the dated of official communication to the French authorities are therefore advised not to sail; 6) Shipments which have not complied with the conditions set forth in Item 3 to Item 5 shall be dealt with per DA AO 9 s. 2010 Section VII.D; 7) Importation of meat products of poultry is subject to the conditions provided in Articles 10.4.19, 10.4.20 and 10.4.26 of OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code (2019).

Department of Agriculture Memorandum Order No. 71 Series of 2020, Lifting the Temporary Ban on the Importation of Poultry Meat Originating from Brazil.

The Order, signed on 11 December 2020, institutes the following emergency measures for the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products from Ystad, Loderup, Ystad, Skane Lan, Sweden: 1) Ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products, including poultry meat, day-old chicks; 2) Immediate suspension of processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of SPS import clearance to the above-stated commodities; 3) Stoppage and confiscation of all shipments of the above stated commodities (with the exception on heat-treated products) into the country by all Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports of entry; and 4) Importation of meat products of poultry is subject to the conditions provided in Articles 10.4.19, 10.4.20 and 10.4.26 of OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code (2019).

The Order, signed on 26 November 2020, institutes the following emergency measures for the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products from Lucciana, Haute-Corse, France: 1) Banning the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products, including poultry meat, day-old chicks, eggs and semen; 2) Immediate suspension of the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of SPS import clearance to  the above-stated commodities; 3) All incoming poultry meat shipments with SPS import clearance issued on or before 19 November 2020 will be allowed provided that frozen poultry meat has a slaughter/process date of 21 days prior to the start of the HPAI outbreak (on or before 17 October 2020). All shipments will be subject to veterinary quarantine rules and regulations; 4) Stoppage and confiscation of all shipments of the above stated commodities (with the exception of heat-treated products) into the country by all Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports of entry if the provisions written in Item 3 are not followed; 5) Importation of meat products of poultry is subject to the conditions provided in Articles 10.4.19, 10.4.20 and 10.4.26 of OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code (2019).

The Order, signed on Nov. 18, 2020,  bans the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products, including poultry meat, day old chicks and semen from Mitoyo City, Kagawa, Japan.  It also immediately suspends the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of SPS import clearance for the said goods.  All shipments of the said commodities (with the exceptioin of heat treated products) into the country shall be stopped and confiscated by all Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all ports of entry if the provisions in Item 3 are not followed.

The Order, signed on Nov. 18, 2020, institues the following emergency measures for the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products from Frodsham, England, United Kingdom: 1) Banning the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products, including poultry meat, day old chicks, and semen; 2) Immediate suspension of the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of SPS import clearance for the said goods; 3) All incoming poultry meat shipments with SPS import clearance issued on or before November 9, 2020 will be allowede provided the frozne poultry meat has a slaughter/process date of 21 days prior to the start of the HPAI outbreak (on or before October 3, 2020).  All shipments will be subject to veterinary quarantine rules and regulations; 4) Stoppage and confiscation of all shipments of the above stated commodities (with the exception on heat treated products) into the country by all Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all major ports of entry if the provisions written in Item 3 are not followed; 5) Importation of meat products of poultry is subject to the conditions provided in Article 10.4.19, 10.4.20 and 10.4.26 of OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code (2019).

The Order signed on Nov. 6, 2020 amends the DA Memorandum Oder No. 40 series of 2020 with the following measures:  1) The importation of the abovementioned commodities will be allowed provided it will be sourced from areas outside Lethebridge, Victoria, Australia; 2) Additonal attestations on the veterinary health certificate on all exports of poultry meat from Australia in accordance to Article 10.4.1.9 of the OIE Terrestrial Code (2019):   a. The birds were kept in a country, zone or compartment free from infection with high pathogenicity avian influenza viruses in poultry since they were hatched or for at least the past 21 days;   b. The birds were slaughtered in an approved abbatoir in a country, zone or compartment free from infection with high pathogenicity avian influenza viruses in poultry and have been subjected to ante- a d post-mortem inspections in accordance with Chapter 6.3 and have been found free of any signs suggestive of avian influenza.

The Order institutes the following emergency measures for the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products from Altforst, Gelderland, Netherlands:  1) Banning the importation of domestic and wild birds and their products, including poultry meat, day old chicks, eggs, and semen; 2) Immediate suspension of the processing, evaluation of the application and issuance of SPS import clearance to the above-stated commodities; 3) All incoming poultry meat shipments with SPS import clearance issued on or before 30 October 2020 will be allowed provided that frozen poultry meat has a slaughter/process date of 21 days prior to the start of the HPAI outbreak (on or before 8 October 2020).  All shipments will be subject to veterinary quarantine rules and regulations; 4) Stoppage and confiscation of all shipments of the above stated commodities (with the exception on heat treated products) into the country by all Veterinary Quarantine Officers/Inspectors at all majoer ports of entry if the provisions written in Item 3 are not followed; 5) Importation of meat products of poultry is subject to the conditions provided in Article 10.4.19, 10.4.20 and 10.4.26 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Code (2019).
