The notified Resolution seeks to establish criteria and references with regard to maximum residue levels (MRLs) for pesticides in plant products and by-products, with a view to protecting consumer health while avoiding unnecessary barriers to trade in such products.
The notified Resolution approves the guidelines for the use on sesamum crops of phytosanitary products formulated as beta-cyfluthrin 12.5%, which must be included on the labels of such products marketed in Paraguay. It also establishes the maximum residue level (MRL) for beta-cyfluthrin in sesamum.
The notified Resolution approves the guidelines for the use on sesamum crops of phytosanitary products formulated as azoxystrobin 20%, which must be included on the labels of such products marketed in Paraguay. It also establishes the maximum residue level (MRL) for azoxystrobin in sesamum.

The notified text seeks to ensure the proper usage of pesticides for minor crops, and the establishment of maximum residual concentration levels and maximum residue limits (MRLs) for the products concerned, in accordance with good agricultural practices.
The National Plant and Seed Quality and Health Service (SENAVE) extends the phytosanitary emergency for 30 calendar days, pursuant to SENAVE Resolution No. 584/19 of 22 August 2019, which replaces SENAVE Resolution No. 386/19 of 13 June 2019.
