The notified document amends Resolution No. 1.364 of 7 March 2023 as a result of the change in the commercial name of the production centre, Special New Fruit Licensing (SFNL) Mediterráneo S.L., which is now called Special New Fruit Licensing Holding Company, S.L. It should be noted that, since SAG recognized the aforementioned production centre, no changes have been made to the centre's production system, infrastructure, phytosanitary checks, pest management measures, traceability, biosecurity and safeguarding of Vitis vinifera propagation material, therefore the phytosanitary requirements set out in Resolution No. 1.364 of 2023 continue to be met. The notified document amends Resolution No. 508 of 2022 which recognizes the production centre, Micro Paradox Inc., for the exportation of clonal walnut plants from the United States of America to Chile, incorporating a new type of walnut plant material, corresponding to green bare root plants. The notified resolution verifies phytosanitary certification compliance for the export of fresh Musa spp. (banana) fruit from Paraguay to Chile. The resolution deems Paraguay's phytosanitary certification process to be in compliance with the characteristics of the programme for exports to Chile, and also allows for compliance with SAG Resolution No. 146 of 2022, which establishes phytosanitary requirements for the importation of fresh bananas into Chile. The presence in Chile of wheat streak mosaic virus has been reported through activities conducted within the framework of the Agricultural and Forestry Phytosanitary Surveillance Programme of the Agriculture and Livestock Service. This pest has therefore been removed from the list of quarantine pests not found in Chile. In view of the foregoing, an additional declaration is no longer required for this virus in seeds of Triticum aestivum, Triticum durum and Triticum spelta of any origin. The notified text establishes sanitary requirements for the importation into Chile of entrails of bovine animals, sheep, goats, swine, birds and horses. • The notified draft Resolution establishes phytosanitary requirements for Adenium obesum, Dionaea muscipula, Dipladenia sanderi, Duboisia leichhardtii, Duboisia myoporoides, Fagus sylvatica, Hibiscus rosasinensis, Hylocereus trigonus, Lagerstroemia indica, Magnolia grandiflora, Myrsine africana, Nerium oleander, Pachira aquatica, Selaginella lepidophylla and Viburnum tinus plants for planting, of any origin; • It establishes requirements for the currently regulated Arecaceae species relating to Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, a quarantine pest absent from Chile; • It establishes that all host plant material of Opogona sacchari and Xylella fastidiosa must always be examined under quarantine conditions.

The notified Resolution establishes mitigation measures for when contamination levels in excess of those set by current regulations are detected in ingredients for animal feed. Under this measure: a) "Animal feed" is defined as complete or balanced feed, supplements, additives or ingredients, for oral animal consumption; b) "Mitigation or corrective measures" are defined as measures or treatments authorized by the Service to reduce contamination to acceptable levels and ensure product safety. Owing to issues with the supply of potato tubers for consumption, the purchase of this staple food has been hampered, creating a need for prompt action to ensure a higher volume on the domestic market to increase its supply. To this end, SAG has postponed the initial verification at origin of packaging facilities, delegating the task to the Argentine phytosanitary authority on a transitional basis.
