Owing to issues with the supply of potato tubers for consumption, the purchase of this staple food has been hampered, creating a need for prompt action to ensure a higher volume on the domestic market to increase its supply. To this end, SAG has postponed the initial verification at origin of packaging facilities, delegating the task to the Argentine phytosanitary authority on a transitional basis. This provisional measure is due solely to the current trade situation. Thus, the transitional period will end on 31 December 2023.
