The United Arab Emirates is lifting the temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their untreated by-product, day-old chicks, hatching eggs and poultry meat and table eggs from Russia on 19 January 2020. This follows the publishing of the Follow-up Report 19 (Resolved: 20 May 2019 Final report) of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Russia, and in compliance with Article 10.4.4, Chapter 10.4 of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code.

These measures include: -Temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their untreated by-products, day-old chicks and hatching eggs from Hungary. -Regulating the import of poultry meat and non-heat treated products according to the health certificate for exporting meat and meat products from Hungary to the United Arab Emirates, accompanying the consignments for releasing purpose. -Regulating the import of table eggs and its non-heat treated products according to the health certificate for exporting table eggs from Hungary to the United Arab Emirates, accompanying the consignments for releasing purpose. -Continue to allow the importation of heat-treated poultry products (treated meat and treated egg products) from all provinces of Hungary.

These measures include: -Temporary ban on the importation of domestic and wild birds and their untreated by-products, day-old chicks and hatching eggs from Romania. -Regulating the import of poultry meat and non-heat treated products according to the health certificate for exporting meat and meat products from Romania to the United Arab Emirates, accompanying the consignments for releasing purpose. -Regulating the import of table eggs and its non-heat treated products according to the health certificate for exporting table eggs from Romania to the United Arab Emirates, accompanying the consignments for releasing purpose. -Continue to allow the importation of heat-treated poultry products (treated meat and treated egg products) from all provinces of Romania.

Regulating the import of poultry meat and non-heat treated products according to the health certificate for exporting meat and meat products from Slovak Republic to the United Arab Emirates, accompanying the consignments for releasing purpose. 3. Continue to allow the importation of table eggs in accordance with the approved health certificate from all provinces of Slovak Republic. 4. Continue to allow the importation of heat-treated poultry products (treated meat and treated egg products) from all provinces of Slovak Republic.
