Following the OIE report, Ref. No. 28326 dated 6 November 2018, Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus (HPAI) outbreaks have occurred in Voronezhskaya Oblast, Russian Federation. In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of avian influenza viruses) from Voronezhskaya Oblast, Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, ref. Vol. 31- No. 51 dated 15 December 2018, which indicates that High Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak has occurred in India, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of live birds, hatching eggs and one-day old chicks from India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is suspended.

No. 42 Vol. 31 dated 15 October 2018, which indicates that Crayfish Plague has occurred in the United Kingdom, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of live white clawed crayfish from the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture issued Decision No. 204/1291/1439 dated 4 February 2018 (18/05/1439 H) entitled "Temporary Ban of Importation of Live Bird, Hatching Egg and One-day Old Chick" originating from India, due to the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in India. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued Decision No. 1440/79731/163757 dated 5 November 2018 (27/02/1440 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of hatching eggs and one-day old chicks from Indian farms that have been approved by India government. Based on OIE reports in the last three months, HPAI has not been registered in India. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing hatching eggs and one-day old chicks from India is negligible.

A technical team from Saudi Arabia visited Ukraine and recommended allowing the importation of Livestock from Ukraine to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under certain conditions.

The Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture issued Decision No. (304/1291/1439) dated 28 March 2018 (11/07/1439 H) entitled "Temporary Ban of Importation of Live Bird, Hatching Egg and One-day Old Chick" originating from the Netherlands, due to the outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the Netherlands. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has subsequently issued Decision No. 1440/79731/108950 dated 17 October 2018 (08/02/1440 AH), lifting the temporary ban on the importation of live birds, hatching eggs and one-day old chicks originating from the Netherlands. Based on OIE reports in the last three months, HPAI has not been registered in the Netherlands. In compliance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chapter 10.4, the risk of importing live birds, hatching eggs and one-day old chicks from the Netherlands is negligible.

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 38 Vol. 31 dated 14 September 2018, which indicates that infectious myonecrosis disease has occurred in Malaysia, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of live Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) from Malaysia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 35 Vol. 31 dated 25 August 2018, which indicates that Tilapia Lake Virus disease has occurred in Mexico, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of live tilapia fish species from Mexico to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 27758 dated 7 September 2018, which indicates that Koi herpesvirus disease has occurred in Canada, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of live carp cyprinus carpio fish species from Canada to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 33, Vol. 31 dated 10 August 2018, which indicates that Infectious haematopoietic necrosis has occurred in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of live rainbow trout fish species from the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

No. 32, Vol. 31 dated 3 August 2018, which indicates that Lumpy Skin disease has occurred in Georgia, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of cattle from Georgia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE report, ref. No. 35, Vol. 31 dated 26 August 2018, which indicates that Glanders has occurred in China, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of the disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of equine from China to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.

Following the OIE reports, ref. No. 32, Vol. 31 dated 9 August 2018, which indicates that High Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak has occurred in Malaysia. It is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI Disease into the country. Therefore, the importation of live Bird, Hatching Egg and One day Old Chick from Malaysia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.
