Morphological Features
Adult. Forewing upperside background color olive-brown or olive-beige; apex acute and falcate. First and fifth postmedian lines most heavily contrasted, delimiting a cream-colored band in median area; first postmedian line straight, stopping 2 mm from costa; fifth postmedian line slightly sinuous, convex from inner margin to vein M1 then slightly concave to apex. Between these lines the wing is golden-yellow, contrasting with reddish tone of rest of wing. Hindwing upperside basal area pure black, extending toward tornus where it turns pale grey with white inner edge; submarginal band brown, of almost equal width from tornus to apex. Forewing underside reddish-yellow with thin suffusion of dark grey scales giving granular aspect. Median dorsal area of thorax greyish-beige, contrasting with patagia and tegulae. Abdomen upperside with five thin longitudinal dark beige lines.
