Agapanthia

Body length 16–25 mm, width 4.5–8 mm. Head surface completely covered by yellow pubescence of recumbent short hairs, except for areas behind antennal insertions to base of head which are black and glabrous. The yellow pubescence on head forms a projection continuous with the yellow median stripe on pronotum, extending from vertex to scutellum. Antennae colourless (not variegated); in males exceeding elytral apex by five segments, in females by three segments. Pronotum with yellow median stripe. Elytra parallel-sided, totally covered by yellow pubescence of short recumbent hairs except shoulders which are nearly glabrous; erect setae on elytral disk denser on first half and reaching second third of elytral length. Elytral pubescence normally yellowish, sometimes greenish. Body colour lighter than in related species.
