Leptopharsa

Body length 2.5 mm, width approximately 1.05 mm. Head length from posterior margin of eyes to apex of clypeus 0.2 mm. Antennal segment III longest, 2.5 times as long as segment IV and 1.32 times as long as width of head. Pronotum with three lamellate, relatively low longitudinal carinae bearing one row of small, rectangular areolae. Anterior angles of paranota widely rounded and not projecting anteriorly, lateral margins slightly convex. Hemelytra much longer than abdomen, lateral margins of folded wings parallel to each other, slightly sinuate at half their length, apices not diverging. Costal area very wide, with three rows of large areolae mostly quadrangular and pentagonal for most of its length, with one to two areolae of the fourth row at the widest part, apically biseriate and uniseriate at apex. Subcostal area very narrow, with two rows of rather small, quadrangular and pentagonal areolae in basal half, with one row of rectangular areolae increasing in size towards apex in apical half. Discoidal area short, less than half the length of hemelytron. Lateral veins of paranota and hemelytra nude.
