Morphological Features
Body length and width not specified. Dorsal side not unicolorous. Head with frons and vertex bearing coarse and sparse punctures; vertex punctures finer and more scattered than those of elytra. Pronotum quadrangular or trapezoidal, lateral margin straight or slightly curved anteriorly; pronotum with sparse and fine punctures, much bigger on lateral sides in some species; pronotum and elytra black, lateral margins of pronotum and elytra yellowish manila in some species. Elytra broader than pronotum at base, slightly broadened after middle; humeri not convex; elytral striae with interspaces smooth and impunctate, with transversal rugosity; ninth stria situated in middle of marginal space, its basal part closer to eighth stria than to lateral margin. Hypomeron, mesoventrite, metaventrite, and abdomen with fine and sparse punctures (dense and coarse in some species). Legs not described.
