Eumorpha

Adult Eumorpha (genus-level diagnosis based on multiple species). Wingspan 9.28–11.87 cm; forewing length 4.09–5.34 cm; hindwing length 2.60–3.11 cm. Head brownish or grayish with a median dark band; palpi brown with white distal region. Thorax brownish or grayish; tegulae dark brown, triangular; a dark brown median band extends from thorax to head. Forewing dorsal surface striated; discal bar with well-defined margins, extending from base to half of wing, or reduced to a trapezoidal spot near end of proximal half; subapical patch dark brown, inverted trapezoid. Hindwing dorsal discal spot extends to apical area; outer margin with lighter region bearing two dark spots; ventral side predominantly brown with a greenish spot from base through inner margin to anal angle, and two striations separating discal, post-discal, and submarginal areas. Abdomen dorsally covered with brown scales; first segment with a dark spot; subsequent segments with a pair of darker inverted-triangular spots. Male genitalia: aedeagus uniformly tubular with pointed apical projection; saccular process uniform in width, sclerotized from base to outward-facing tip, or with dorsally curved spine apex and constriction in distal half or third.
