Anoplophora chinensis, the citrus long-horned beetle (also appearing in many sources as Anoplophora malasiaca), is a long-horned beetle native to Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan and Southeast Asia where it is considered a serious pest. This beetle has invaded several countries in Europe, including Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, France, Germany, and Croatia. Infestations by the beetle can kill many different types of hardwood trees including Citrus, pecan, apple, Australian pine, Hibiscus, sycamore, willow, pear, mulberry, chinaberry, poplar, Litchi, kumquat, Japanese red cedar, oak, and Ficus.

Morphological Features
Adult body length 24–35 mm, maximum width 10.5–13 mm. Body elongate, moderately convex. General coloration black with white or bluish-white markings. Head with distinct punctation; antennae longer than body, with basal segments black and subsequent segments whitish basally. Eyes deeply emarginate. Pronotum transverse, with lateral spines; disc with irregular white or bluish-white pubescent patches. Elytra black, each with numerous irregular white or bluish-white spots and a short, oblique whitish band near the scutellum; surface coarsely punctate at base, becoming finer apically. Legs long, femora and tibiae black, tarsi black. Ventral side black with sparse whitish pubescence.
