Mecinus circulatus

Mature larva. Head capsule pale brown, narrowed bilaterally. Des1–3 very long, equal in length; des4 four times shorter than des1; des5 slightly shorter than des1. Les1 and les2 equal in length, slightly shorter than des1. Clypeus trapezium-shaped, anterior margin concave. Epipharynx with three medium, finger-shaped als of almost equal length. Mandible with two mds, both capilliform, medium, equal in length, placed mediolaterally. Maxilla with one stps and two pfs equal in length. Chaetotaxy weakly developed, setae short, transparent. Pronotum with eight prns. Dorsal parts of meso- and metathorax with two setae placed medially. Abdominal segments I–VIII with one very short prs, three pds arranged along posterior margin (order: very short, medium, very short), two ss different in length, two eps different in length, one medium ps, one medium lsts, and two very short eus. Abdominal segments I–VII with three setae dorsally. Pedal lobes with three pda. Anal lobes with one ts. Head with five pes. Mala with four vms. Prelabial setae shorter.
