Morphological Features
Adult body length 3.5–4.5 mm. Body shape elongate-oval, moderately convex. General coloration reddish yellow to reddish brown with blackish elytral apices. Head with eyes prominent, antennae serrate. Pronotum subconical. Elytra reddish yellow to reddish brown, apices blackish. Hind femur with a small tooth ventrally on the internal carina and several small denticles; tooth and denticle shape variable. Hind tibia with a distinctive long, robust apical spur (mucro) in both sexes. Male ventrite I with a large setiferous patch. Female pygidium with two long dark oval depressions.
