Strepsicrates

Head with vertex scales reddish brown, elongate, projected upward; antenna filiform, yellowish gray, with notch involving flagellomeres 7–9. Thorax dorsally covered by reddish brown, posteriorly projecting scales. Forewing pattern and male and female genitalia are diagnostic. Hindwing creamy white, with yellowish gray scales near apex. Legs: femur, tibia (including epiphysis), and tarsus grayish brown with a few scattered yellowish white scales. Abdomen: segment A9 with three pairs of lateral setae and two pairs of ventral setae. Female similar to male but antenna without notch on flagellum, forewings without costal fold, and abdominal segment VIII not modified. Larva: vertex slightly projected forward; antenna apex slightly exceeding apex of mesothoracic legs; metathoracic legs slightly exceeding apex of antenna; prothorax with one pair of laterodorsal setae; mesothorax and metathorax with two pairs of dorsal setae; abdominal segments with two pairs of dorsal setae, four pairs of lateral setae; genital scar with short longitudinal line and two circles laterally; anal prolegs with three pairs of long setae with curved tip.
