Neella

Adult. Body elongate, oval to suboval in dorsal view, with lateral margins of hemelytra convex. General color orange to reddish, with brown to black areas on pronotum and hemelytra; sometimes yellowish with brown, black, or blue spots. Head vertical, vertex flat; eyes large, stylate, more than half of head height, protruding beyond anterior corner of pronotum, posterior margin concave; clypeus not visible from above, flat or rounded in lateral view. Antennal segment II cylindrical; segments I–II with short, recumbent or semierect setae, sometimes with erect setae. Labium long, segments III–IV short and thin. Pronotum weakly punctate, with large, protruding calli separated in central area, extending to lateral margins; posterior margin straight; pronotal width across calli half as wide as posterior margin width. Scutellum with a triangular depression at anterior margin. Hemelytra with claval commissure longer than scutellum and half of pronotum length combined. Tibiae with one type of setae. Right paramere C-shaped in dorsal view; left paramere with basal and distal curvatures at straight angle.
