Plataspidae

Head thin, wider than half the pronotum, slightly concave in front of the eyes, anterior margin rounded with a narrow blackish border. Antennae with five segments, the second shortest, the three following equal, the first yellow, slightly shorter than the third and almost three times longer than the second, the remaining four segments blackish or brownish. Rostrum of four segments, weak, yellowish, with the tip of the fourth segment black, reaching the abdominal margin, the second segment longest, the third longer than the first, the fourth shortest. Pronotum transversely oblong, with rounded angles, bordered by a narrow blackish line, emarginate at the anterior margin. Scutellum, pronotum, bases of the elytra, and upper surface of the head entirely yellow and shiny. Punctures present on the radiating fasciae and the abdominal margin.
