Derelomus

Body integument pale brown to dark brown; elytra often with transverse dark bands or spots on suture. Eyes convex, exceeding lateral curve of head capsule in dorsal view. Rostrum slightly to distinctly longer than pronotum in lateral view, downcurved; in dorsal view 4–5.5× as long as wide, densely punctate, with short suberect whitish setae. Antennal funicle with first segment 1.5–2.5× as long as wide, segments 3–7 often transverse. Pronotum wider than long (W:L ratio 1.0–1.5), widest near base or middle, sides rounded or subparallel, with lateral carina sometimes covered with whitish scales; integument densely punctate, space between punctures smooth and shiny. Elytra with striae punctures about ¼–⅓ width of interstriae; interstriae flat or slightly convex, odd interstriae sometimes raised into carina; vestiture of minute recumbent whitish setae, glabrous in appearance. Legs with protibiae often bisinuate internally, sometimes with comb of elongate setae; claws simple. Underside with minute recumbent whitish setae, not contiguous. Body of penis elongate (W:L ratio 0.13–0.30).
