Megymenum brevicorne

Body length 12.12–14.88 mm. Head length (from apex of clypeus to anterior margin of pronotum) 1.55–2.17 mm, width across eyes 2.17–2.87 mm; clypeus very small, shorter than mandibular plates, together heart-shaped and strongly concave dorsally; compound eyes small, positioned posterolaterally, nearly touching anterior part of pronotum. Antennae with pedicel (segment II) longest, about 2.2 times longer than segment I, slightly flattened, more circular in cross-section; lengths of antennal segments: scape 0.62–0.93 mm, pedicel 1.47–2.09 mm, basiflagellum 1.24–1.75 mm, distiflagellum 1.16–1.40 mm. Labium with segment I shorter than segment II, reaching posterior margin of head; segments III and IV very short, about 2.0–2.26 times shorter than segment I, nearly equal in length or segment IV slightly shorter. Pronotum trapezoid in dorsal view, with well differentiated collar-like structure due to distinct concavity of anterolateral margin; posterior margin along base of scutellum slightly convex; pronotum length medially 3.10–3.95 mm, anterior width 4.19–5.43 mm, posterior width (between humeral angles) 5.74–7.29 mm. Scutellum length medially 3.49–4.31 mm, width at base 3.26–4.31 mm. Corium length 3.95–4.96 mm, width 1.75–2.33 mm. Abdomen width (maximum between apexes of lobes on laterotergites IV) 6.12–7.91 mm. Legs: profemur length 2.71–3.10 mm, mesofemur 3.10–3.64 mm, metafemur 3.57–4.26 mm; protibia 2.33–2.95 mm, mesotibia 2.64–3.57 mm, metatibia 3.80–4.65 mm; tarsi: protarsus 1.55 mm, mesotarsus 1.55–1.71 mm, metatarsus 1.55–1.71 mm.
