Pulvinaria neocellulosa

Adult female: body elongate oval, 1.9–3.1 mm long, 0.9–1.9 mm wide, margin with distinct indentation at each stigmatic cleft. Derm membranous, with well-developed dermal areolations forming a distinct polygonal pattern in mature adults. Dorsal setae spiniform, each 4–8 µm long, scattered over entire dorsum. Dorsal tubercles of normal convex type present in submarginal areas. Marginal setae with well-developed basal sockets, each 25–106 µm long, longer than a median stigmatic spine, often curved, with blunt or simple pointed apices. Preopercular pores oval to circular, 2–3 µm in diameter, 6–18 present anterior to anal plates. Anal plates each 94–144 µm long, 55–71 µm wide, with well-developed supporting bar, slightly convex posterolateral margin, and 4 apical setae. Ano-genital fold with 1–2 pairs of setae along anterior margin and 2–3 pairs laterally. Ventral setae: posterior 3 abdominal segments each with 1 pair of long setae in medial area; other setae short and fine. Multilocular pores each 5–7 µm wide, with 5–8 (usually 7) loculi, present around genital opening and on medial areas of preceding 4–5 abdominal segments. Tubular ducts of three types: type I with large outer ductule (3–4 µm wide, 8–10 µm long), stout inner ductule (2–3 µm wide, 10–15 µm long), and flower-shaped terminal gland; type II with small outer ductule (2–3 µm wide, 5–8 µm long) and long narrow inner ductule; type III similar to type II but with short filamentous inner ductule. Hind trochanter+femur 210–250 µm long, hind tibia 155–188 µm long, hind tarsus 78–95 µm long.
