Zygaenidae
TaxID: 115354
Basic Information
Zygaenidae
Burnet Moths, Burnets, burnets
The Zygaenidae moths are a family of Lepidoptera. The majority of zygaenids are tropical, but they are nevertheless quite well represented in temperate regions. Some of the 1000 or so species are commonly known as burnet or forester moths, often qualified by the number of spots, although other families also have 'foresters'. They are also sometimes called smoky moths. All 43 species of Australian zygaenids are commonly known as foresters and belong to the tribe Artonini. The only nonendemic species in Australia is Palmartona catoxantha, a Southeast Asian pest species which is believed to be already present in Australia or likely to arrive soon.

PRJNA1401002 SRX31763512 SRP661249 insect RNA-Seq of Achelura yunnanensis: female midtarsi Tissues were subject to RNA extraction, along with the guidelines of TRIzol reagent (TaKaRa, Dalian, Liaoning, China). The quality and integrity of purified RNA samples were estimated through a combination of agarose gel (1%, w/v), NanoDrop ND-1000, Qubit and Agilent 21000. The samples were subject to the construction of cDNA libraries with NEBNext Ultra II RNA Library Prep Kit for Illumina (NEB, USA). Libraries were sequenced on an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 sequencing system, with 2150 bp paired-end protocols.
