Body elongate, dark reddish brown, semi-opaque, head and pronotum equal in colour to the elytra. Length 17.1–18.8 mm. Head: distance between eyes nearly four times the width of one eye; frons swollen; clypeal emargination subangled, shallow and wide; outer sides of anterior teeth straight, following lateral edge of clypeus; antenna with 10 antennomeres, lamellae slightly lighter in colour and longer than flagellum; distal maxillary palpomere with maximum width more than twice width of apex, fovea deep, elongate, almost sulcate, extending past transverse midline of palpomere. Thorax: anterior edge of pronotum flanged and slightly produced medially; pronotal disc finely punctate, punctures very sparse; posterior edge of pronotum, disc of mesoventrite, metaventrite, and coxae densely clothed with long, hair-like setae; pro-, meso-, sides of metaventrite and metacoxae with abundant hair-like bristles; distance between meso- and metacoxae twice longer than metacoxa length; mesotibia cylindrical in cross-section, disc coarsely sculptured; inner edge of metatibia carinate and abruptly subapically produced towards apex, with inner surface setose; female transverse carina of metatibia interrupted medially. Elytra glabrous. Abdomen clothed with abundant scales beneath elytra; pygidium trapezoidal, barely convex or flat, as wide as long, with hair-like bristles throughout, bristles very short, sparse, long setae on apex, finely punctate. Parameres: width of basal region equal to maximum width of parameres together, parameral split at two-thirds; in lateral view parameres slightly convex, basal region and parameres coplanar.
