Tegeticula

Adult. Forewing length 9–12.5 mm. Antenna with 45–50 segments, length about 0.40–0.45× forewing length. Dorsal surface white with scattered cinnamon brown scales; a narrow band of dark brown scales on costa from base to 20–40% of wing length. Underside brown to dark brown except for off-white or tan portion overlapping hindwing. Hindwing brownish grey to dark brownish grey, darkest along fore edge and apex, gradually lighter toward tornus; fringe white, occasionally with basal third light tan. Underside sparsely scaled in brownish grey or off-white, with darker area along fore edge. Abdomen with dorsal scaling tan to dark tan, with lighter scales along posterior edge of each segment. Female ovipositor with a serrated dorsal ridge 0.45–0.67 mm long, 0.023–0.08 mm high, starting 0.038–0.09 mm behind tip; female with 20 or more sensory setae ventrally on second abdominal segment.
