Frankliniella minuta

Head with three pairs of ocellar setae; S2 arising near margins of compound eyes, S3 short (about as long as diameter of hind ocelli), arising outside ocellar triangle. Vertex with fine transverse striations; areas in front of first ocellus and ocellar area smooth. Five pairs of short postocular setae, S1 as long as diameter of hind ocelli. Antennal segments rather compact. Pronotum short, wider than long, sublateral area smooth, with more than 20 short scattered discal setae; two pairs of long posteroangular setae; posterior margin with seven pairs of setae, S5 and S7 longer than others. Metanotum with irregular reticulation medially, lateral areas with longitudinal lines. Forewing clavus with six veinal and one discal seta; more than five anteromarginal setae on clavus. Tergite VIII with complete posteromarginal comb of long slender microtrichia. Sternites III–VII without discal setae, with three pairs of marginal setae; sternite VII with S1 arising in front of posterior margin. Abdominal sternites VI–VII with oval-shaped pore plates. Tergite IX B1 setae about same length as tergite X.
