Leucania inconspicua is a moth of the family Noctuidae first described by Gottlieb August Wilhelm Herrich-Sch?ffer in 1868. It is found in Florida, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, the Lesser Antilles and from Mexico to Brazil.

Morphological Features

Head, thorax and forewings dark brown; abdomen lighter. Hindwing creamy white with slender brown margin in male; in female, marginal field and veins distinctly darker with slight greyish brown suffusion toward outer margin. Transverse lines indistinct on underside of forewings; underside of hindwings whiter with no pattern. Sacculus short, slightly convex, with small clavus. Aedeagus wider and rounded at caecum side, curved in middle. Ovipositor robust with long and narrow gonapophyses.
