Campylomyza is a genus of midges in the family Cecidomyiidae. The 40 described species are found in the Holarctic, Oriental, Neotropical, and Australasian regions. The genus was first described by German entomologist Johann Wilhelm Meigen in 1818.

Morphological Features
Adult males of the genus Campylomyza are distinguished by the following combination of characters: antenna with 12 flagellomeres; node of fourth antennal flagellomere with one complete and two incomplete crenulate whorls of sensory hairs, and two incompletely collar-shaped sensilla distally; apical part of vein R1 (ApicR1) elongated, approximately 4–6 times the length of Rs; wing length to width ratio 2.44, vein AntC ending beyond R4+5 but before reaching M4; gonostyli strongly convex posteriorly without apical spines, tapering apically and curved anteroventrally with convex apex margins; aedeagal apodeme with a typical head-like structure.
