Morphological Features
Puparium with venter smaller than dorsum, resulting in deflexion of dorsum; morphological margin ventrally located and usually crenulate. Vasiform orifice slightly elevated, sometimes appearing surrounded by a sclerotised ring, variously shaped, smooth internally, and fully occupied by the operculum. Transverse moulting sutures usually reach beyond apparent margin onto deflexed part of morphological dorsum. Cephalic setae present or absent; first abdominal setae always absent.
