Morphological Features

Adult Dinoderus porcellus is reddish-brown with elytra black, hard, shiny, appearing glazed, and almost glabrous on their dorsal part. The pronotum has a perforated posterior surface bordered anteriorly by a row of teeth; it lacks a fovea but possesses a posterolateral carina reaching the first row of marginal teeth. The dorsal punctuation of the elytra consists of large perforations.
