Morphological Features

Female: body length 5–7 mm. Head black, clypeus white; labrum white; mandibles white with black tips; palpi pale. Antenna with scape and pedicel black, flagellum mostly pale (yellowish) except apical segments sometimes infuscated. Thorax black; tegulae pale; legs: coxae black, trochanters pale, femora black with pale apices, tibiae and tarsi pale; wings hyaline, costa black along most of its length (only basal quarter paler), pterostigma black. Abdomen entirely pale (yellowish) dorsally and ventrally. Lancet with hair-like setae. Male: similar to female but abdomen mostly black dorsally; tergite 8 with a prominent, broad projection slightly constricted at base. Both sexes: large subapical tooth on tarsal claws broad and as long as apical tooth.
