Sitona macularius

Larvae: body length 4.2–5.2 mm, maximum width at level of procoxae 2.2–2.7 mm, head width at level of eyes 0.9–1.1 mm, prothorax width at widest place 0.9–1.1 mm. Pronotum trapezium-shaped, approximately 1.6 times as wide as long. Head capsule bearing 1 vs, 2 sos1-2, 2 os1-2 and 2 pas1-2. Pronotum with 2 as1-2, 2 ds1-2, 2 sls1-2 and 2 pls1-2. Setae of unequal length, all more or less hair-like, yellow, based on small protuberances. All setae of prothorax short, equal in length, placed on very small protuberances. Abdominal segment VIII with two pairs of setae, equal in length and placed centrally. Setae 1–5 form a regular transverse row along the posterior margin; at first view chaetotaxy of each segment seems to consist of 3 pairs of setae only. Segment VII consists of 4 pairs of setae almost equal in size, of which 2 pairs placed posteromedially, next two pairs laterally.
