Phygasia

Body oblong, convex, slightly broadened posteriorly, about 1.87 times as long as wide. Dorsal side black, each elytron with an elongate pale brown spot almost touching lateral margin but not reaching suture. Eyes small, slightly convex, oval, 1.25 times as long as wide. Vertex convex, lustrous, without punctures or depressions. Interantennal space narrow, about 3.3 times narrower than interocular space, narrowly convex medially forming a distinct keel. Frontal tubercles convex, triangular, with produced inner anterior angles. Labrum convex, transverse, with almost straight lateral margins; anterior margin entirely covered with several pale setae. Antennae robust, about 1.4 times as short as body length; antennomere I moderately large, widened at apex, rather lustrous with rare short adpressed setae; remaining antennomeres matte, covered with sparse longer semi-adpressed setae and denser shorter adpressed setae. Pronotal surface convex, lustrous, without distinct punctures, with shallow transverse impression near posterior margin limited on each side by a deep longitudinal impression. Legs robust, moderately densely covered with short adpressed setae. Pro- and mesotarsomere I slightly enlarged, with slightly convex upper surface, narrower than tarsomere III. Metatarsomere I not enlarged, elongate, 1.73 times shorter than next three tarsomeres combined. Aedeagus about 3.1 times as long as wide, widest in middle with acute triangular apex; in lateral view rather strongly curved down at level of anterior third.
