Morphological Features
Adult males are significantly smaller (11.42 ± 0.09 mm) than adult females (14.4 ± 0.14 mm). Larvae are characterized by longitudinal striped lines on the dorsal surface, visible from the third instar onwards. First instar larvae average 1.99 ± 0.02 mm in size and 0.02 ± 0.01 mg in weight; seventh instar larvae reach 18.27 ± 0.59 mm and 74.98 ± 4.26 mg. Pupal duration is 6.00 ± 0.19 days, and adult emergence occurs over 3.42 ± 0.15 days. Adult life span ranges from 3 to 4 days.
