Stenhomalus

Body length 2.73 times as long as wide at humeri, 2.5 times as long as pronotum; elytra 1.26 times as wide at humeri as pronotum. Head reddish-brown, pronotum and elytra brown; elytra with reddish humeri, an irregular transverse ante-median convex band not reaching suture, and two ante-apical longitudinal discal depressions. Head wider than pronotum but narrower than elytra at humeri, densely and coarsely punctate. Eyes large and prominent, coarsely faceted, upper lobes widely emarginate below antennal insertion, close under vertex and separated by a fine median groove. Dorsum covered with short golden, silky, recumbent pubescence and long erect golden setae on head and pronotum, oblique and directed apically on elytra. First visible sternite brown, more reddish medially; second sternite very widely flared at apex, bordered by a dense upper row of oblique stiff setae and a lower brush of apically thickened hairs.
