Morphological Features
Antennae long; third antennal segment only slightly shorter than the second. Clypeus impressed. Explanate margin of elytra present. Elytra with shallow postscutellar impressions. Pronotal disc with numerous black spots. Elytra yellow with black punctures, combined with brown and black pattern; humeral and posterolateral spots situated on upper side of the explanate margin and often connected (always separated in M. optata). Disc of pronotum largely brown to black.
