Lopesia

Adult Lopesia: body length 2.70–4.20 mm. Eyes black, holoptic, facets circular or hexagonal, closely adjacent. Antenna: scape obconical, pedicel globose; flagellomeres binodal and tricircumfilar in male, cylindrical with interconnected circumfila in female; 1st–11th flagellomeres with neck partially setulose in both sexes, 12th flagellomere with apical process entirely setulose. Palpus with 3 or 4 segments, first segment shorter than others, cylindrical. Labella elongate-convex, each with long lateral setae and three pairs of short mesal sensory setae. Labrum triangular, long-attenuate. Scutum with 4 longitudinal rows of setae with a few scales intermixed, dorsocentral rows broadest anteriorly, forming a single row posteriorly, lateral rows as a single row. Wing: R5 curved at its juncture with Rs, Rs situated near midlength of R1, CuA forked, M3+4 present. Tarsal claw with two teeth. Male: 8th tergite narrow, elongated, with only basal pair of trichoid sensilla; gonocoxite partially setose with setulose mesobasal lobe; hypoproct deeply bilobed, setose; aedeagus longer than hypoproct, tapered to apex. Female: ovipositor short, barely protrusible; cerci separate, elongate-ovoid, setose. Larva: sternal spatula two-toothed; terminal segment with four pairs of corniform papillae.
