Cryptinglisia

Adult female oval, slightly to moderately convex, body length 1.23–4.0 mm, width 0.78–3.2 mm. Derm entirely membranous apart from a heavily sclerotized, elongate crescent around anal plates. Eyes well developed, circular, domed, located on dorsal margin between marginal setae. Antennae 7 or 8 segmented, 210–270 µm long, with fleshy setae on last 3 (rarely 2) segments. Labium 1 segmented, with 4 pairs of labial setae. Legs well developed, without tibio-tarsal sclerosis; coxa 100–130 µm, trochanter+femur 140–175 µm, tibia+tarsus 180–230 µm. Marginal setae spinose and conical, straight, with a bulbous base, in a continuous row; most setae 12–40 µm long, longest at apex up to 50 µm. Stigmatic spines sharply spinose, 1 per stigmatic area, 60–80 µm long. Anal plates together subquadrate to subcircular, located at about 1/5 of body length from posterior margin, each plate with about 4 bluntly spinose apical setae and 4 pairs of fringe setae. Dorsal microducts oval, bilocular or unilocular, about 1.2–2.0 µm wide, scattered over dorsum. Ventral tubular ducts present in a submarginal band and scattered medially on head, thorax and abdomen, absent from last 2 abdominal segments anterior to vulva.
