PRJNA845792 SRX15592564 SRP378442 insect RNA-Seq of Jadera haematoloma: adult short-winged male dorsal thorax Individuals were collected from laboratory cultures, anesthetized using CO2 exposure, photographed, and flash frozen in liquid nitrogen. Samples were stored at -80C until further processing. The thorax was removed from head and abdomen with a clean scalpel blade, and the dorsal thorax was separated above the legs while tissue was still frozen. Gonads were then dissected from the abdomen of adults. For juveniles, the entire abdomen was included. Nucleic acid extractions used the Invitrogen PureLink RNA extraction kit. Samples were delivered overnight on dry ice to the DNA Technologies Core at the University of California at Davis. Libraries were prepared using the QuantSeq 3' mRNA-Seq Library Prep Kit (Lexogen, Greenland, New Hampshire, USA). PRJNA845792 SRX15592568 SRP378442 insect RNA-Seq of Jadera haematoloma: short-winged female ovaries Individuals were collected in the field, euthanized at -20C, shipped overnight on dry ice to thr lab where they were photographed. The thorax was removed from head and abdomen with a clean scalpel blade, and the dorsal thorax was separated above the legs while tissue was still frozen. Gonads were then dissected from the abdomen of adults. Nucleic acid extractions used the Invitrogen PureLink RNA extraction kit. Samples were delivered on dry ice to Beckman Coulter Genomics (Danvers, Massachusetts) for poly-A selection, preparation of 125 bp paired-end TruSeq libraries, and sequencing using Illumina HiSeq. 280_AC_SWf {'sex': 'female', 'host': 'Koelreuteria paniculata', 'tissue': 'ovaries', 'isolate': '280_AC_SWf', 'dev_stage': 'adult', 'collected_by': 'RA Angelini', 'geo_loc_name': 'USA: Aurora, CO', 'biosamplemodel': 'Invertebrate', 'collection_date': '2015-09-11', 'isolation_source': 'Aurora, CO'} |
