Morphological Features

Body elongated oval, 2–3 times as long as maximum width across hemelytra, yellowish brown, sometimes tinged with reddish. Head stout, shorter than its maximum width across compound eyes, with five cephalic spines. Antennal segments I close to each other at their bases. Pronotum with lateral margin not emarginate in anterior part; paranota distinctly reflexed, folded back, adhering to pronotum, not bulged upward throughout their length, not forming a cyst; outer margin of paranotum resting on pronotal disc throughout its length. Maximum width across hemelytra wider than maximum width across paranota (less than 1.5 times as much in some species). Hypocostal laminae with a single row of areolae throughout their length. Ostioles well-developed, long-oval-shaped, not widened outward. Abdominal sternites IV–VIII in male and IV–VII in female each with a transverse furrow throughout their width. Ovipositor with well-developed ovivalvula at base.
