Erythrogonia

Body length 7.8–8.2 mm in females, 8.0–8.2 mm in males. Crown median length about 0.6–0.7 of interocular width and 0.4–0.5 of transocular width; coronal surface smooth, without shallow median concavity. Clypeus continuing profile of frons on upper portion and more nearly horizontal on lower portion. Pronotum, in dorsal view, width approximately equal to or slightly smaller than transocular width of head. Forewing with membrane well-delimited, including all apical cells except base of fourth. Dorsum usually with contrasting color pattern; crown brown to dark brown with yellow or yellowish-red triangular macula contiguous to oval median macula on pronotum; pronotum reddish-brown with large pale yellow to ivory spot at median portion extending from anterior to near posterior margin; forewing mostly reddish-brown with pale yellow to ivory spots, including one at basal portion of clavus extending to corium and an elongate spot near apex of clavus extending to costal margin, irregularly bordered with bright red or dark brown. Ventral surface of sternite VIII with median longitudinal carina, weakly striate, without setae.
