Alitocoris

Oval body, general colour brown to black with yellow spots in some species. Punctures black, deep, and confluent, forming wrinkles on dorsum of head, pronotum, and scutellum. Head wider than long, declivous; antennal tubercles partially visible from above, with lateral spine; ocelli posterior to hind margin of eyes, interocellar distance about 1.5 times width of eye; gula slightly depressed, width equivalent to diameter of eye; bucculae elevated, evanescent and divergent posteriorly, not attaining posterior margin of head, with triangular anterior tooth in some species; insertion of first labial segment posterior to anterior limit of eyes. Antennae with five segments; segment III widest, about twice width of segment IV. Pronotum with anterolateral angles projecting laterally; prosternum sulcate; meso- and metasternum with median carina along entire length; metapleural evaporatorium black, occupying half width of metapleura, lateral margin subrectilinear; peritreme spout reaching at least half width of evaporatorium. Membrane of hemelytra attaining or little surpassing apex of abdomen, with 9–13 veins not forming cells. Abdomen with punctures more dense on lateral thirds, inconspicuous on central disc; anteromedian margin elevated or flat, concolorous or yellowish.
