Borogonalia

Head in dorsal view with anterior margin acutely angulate; crown with a transverse concavity anterad of ocelli. Body length: males 4.2–4.6 mm, females 4.3–4.9 mm. Forewings in males extended to anal tergite, usually shorter in females exposing apex of abdomen. Pronotum with a pair of divergent longitudinal black stripes. Male subgenital plates, in ventral view, with lateral margin convex near base, concave distally, apex attenuate, with numerous elongate microsetae along lateral margin from base to apex. Paraphysis asymmetrical, slender and elongate in basal half, distal half somewhat broadened, branches relatively short, sharp forceps-like. Aedeagus in lateral view with shaft broader than dorsal lobes, shaft apex divided into two rounded lobes, ventral lobe larger than dorsal lobe. Female sternite VII distinctly wider than long, posterior margin trilobed, with lateral lobes narrow and medial lobe broad. Coloration variable: crown, pronotum, and scutellum with conspicuous black patterns; pronotum often yellow anteriorly, rest green, blue, greyish-white, or pink; forewings green, blue, light brown, white with black, or pink to reddish-brown; sternites and tergites dark brown to light brown or light yellow.
