Morphological Features

Body length 12–14 mm in females, 10–13 mm in males; width 5–6 mm in females, 4–5 mm in males. Elytra moderately and uniformly convex in lateral view, with lateral margins uniformly convex in dorsal view; greatest width near mid-length. Pronotum nearly 0.4–0.5 × length of elytra, with greatest width at base; dorsal surface undulate-foveate, medially longitudinally and broadly depressed, with two deep and broad foveae at basal and apical thirds along midline; anterior margin oblique, without postocular lobe, fringed with plumose setae. Eyes moderately convex, with inner margins oblique, anteriorly converging; interocular distance at closest point 4.0–4.5 × maximum width of eye. Frons with deep, large median fovea and a pair of slight depressions, covered by oval to setiform setae. Antennal scape clavate, extending to posterior margin of eye, covered with elongate scales and sparse, thick, semi-erect setae. Scales oval, small, appressed, iridescent with pink and blue tones, or light to dark brown. Setae slightly shorter than width of intervals, recurvate, evenly distributed along interstriae. Protarsomeres 1 and 3 similar in length, protarsomere 2 0.6 × length of protarsomere 1.
