Aleurocybotus

Puparium elongate-oval, often slightly asymmetric, 0.57–0.78 mm long, 0.27–0.39 mm wide, generally widest at metathorax/abdominal segment I. Margin finely toothed, not modified at thoracic tracheal openings. Dorsal disc smooth to slightly uneven; segmentation between head and prothorax, mesothorax and metathorax, and abdominal segments well marked; abdominal segment VII not significantly reduced medially. Dorsal setae fine, similar in length, with eighth abdominal setae about as long as vasiform orifice, placed opposite anterior edge of operculum. Chaetotaxy: single submedian pairs of cephalic and eighth abdominal setae, single subdorsal pairs of pro-, meso-, metathoracic setae, a pair of submarginal caudal setae, and two pairs of submarginal setae anterior to caudal setae and lateral/posterolateral to vasiform orifice. Anterior and posterior marginal setae present, hair-like, slightly shorter than dorsal setae. Vasiform orifice subcordate, sides slightly convex, about as long as wide, inset from posterior margin by about its own length. Operculum subcordate, laterally slightly convex, occupying a little over half of vasiform orifice, posterior margin finely setose. Lingula spatulate, head slightly expanded, rounded, included within vasiform orifice, covered in minute spinules, with a pair of posteriorly directed setae. Simple pores present, inconsistently paired. Ventral abdominal setae very fine, underlying vasiform orifice. Adult: each foot with one smooth true claw and one fleshy, minutely spinulose claw-shaped appendage (modified paronychium). Antennal segment II approximately 3× segment I; segment VII with a pair of long apical filaments in males. Female abdomen with two pairs of ventral wax plates.
