Morphological Features

Pronotum with lateral carina reaching less than halfway to anterior edge, not hidden by lateral expansion of pronotum in dorsal view; supra-antennal carina without longitudinal split next to compound eyes; prosternum with anterior edge produced as lobe, concealing labium when head not extended. Aedeagus with parameres approximately cylindrical pre-apically. Subgenus Lasiocerus distinguished by long antennae with dense setae.
