Sphenarches is a genus of moths in the family Pterophoridae. Species in this genus are distributed in regions with pantropical climates, and are also found in Japan and southern Canada. Host plants for the genus are Dolichos lablab, Lagenaria leucantha clavata, and L. leucantha gourda.

Morphological Features

Adults of the genus Sphenarches are characterized by a synapomorphic forewing venation: the common stalk of veins R1 with R2, and R3 with R4. This shared character separates Sphenarches from other genera in the Oxyptilini group (Intercapperia, Geina, Paracapperia, Procapperia, Capperia, Oxyptilus, and Crombrugghia).
